Hong Kong Emerging Artists Exhibition Open Call 港藝新星展覽招募中！
Hong Kong Emerging Artists Exhibition is a new programme to nurture artists. Sponsored by the Simon Suen Foundation and co- organised by Sun Museum and Jao Tsung-I Academy, the exhibition aims at providing a free platform for young Hong Kong artists to showcase their artistic direction and achievements, helping to grow them into elites of the art world.
Hong Kong Emerging Artists Exhibition is now inviting young Hong Kong artists to participate the programme. Hong Kong permanent residents between the ages of 18 and 40 are eligible to apply. In order to promote the philosophy of reviving Chinese culture from Professor Jao Tsung-I, master of traditional Chinese studies, the programme encourages participating artists to revitalise the spirit of Chinese art and unleash their unique creativity in their original creation. The artworks could be Chinese and Western painting, calligraphy, printmaking, photography, ceramics, and sculpture (installation art is not accepted).
Interested artists are required to submit a completed application form on or before 29th February for evaluation. The selection criteria are creativity, techniques, and the representation of Chinese cultural elements in their artworks. The organisers will select suitable artists for a joint exhibition at the Jao Tsung-I Academy. Each selected artist will showcase 8 to 10 artworks in the exhibition for around 3 months and will receive a grant of HKD 10,000 as an exhibition subsidy. 「港藝新星展覽」是一個培育藝術家的嶄新活動，由孫少文基金會贊助，一新美術館和饒宗頤文化館聯合策劃，目的為香港年輕藝術家提供一個免費的展覽平台，讓大眾認識他們的藝術路向和成果，希望有助他們成長為藝壇菁英。
「港藝新星展覽」現在正公開招募香港年輕藝術家，歡迎18至40歲的香港永久性居民申請參展。為了承傳國學大師饒宗頤復興中華文化的理念，是次活動特別鼓勵參與藝術家在創作中重現中華文化的精神，發揮個人獨特的創意，創作出耳目一新的原創作品，參展作品類型包括中西繪畫、書法、版畫、攝影、陶瓷及雕塑(不接受裝置作品)。
有興趣藝術家可於2月29日或之前填妥並提交申請表格，以供主辦方進行評審，評選準則包括參加者的創意、技巧，以及作品中展現的中國文化藝術元素。
主辦方將從中挑選合適的藝術家於饒宗頤文化館進行聯展，每位展出約8至10件作品，展期約3個月及獲選者可獲港幣一萬元作為展覽津貼。有關活動內容及申請詳情，請查閱一新美術館或饒宗頤文化館的網頁：
